Up In A Tree

I'm sure it wasn't easy for Zacchaeus to come down out of that tree in full view of all those people who could have cared less about him. I'm sure there were lots of gasps of horror, looks of disdain and scoffs. To think that Jesus would accept this corrupt, dishonest, unlovable tax collector! Unthinkable! Right? Wrong! Jesus came for people just like Zacchaeus. For ordinary people like you and me! "The Son of Man came to seek and save what was lost" (Luke 19:10). Isn't it time to come down out of your tree and meet the Master? He is standing at the base of your tree today. Calling you to come down. Calling you to let go of the branch of self-promotion, self-love, self-sufficiency and self-doubt. Calling you to follow Him. So what are you waiting for; "Come on down!" You'll be glad you did.
